Good content is the number one reason that a business will do well, or go under – it’s the secret of online success. In fact, if the content for your Internet Marketing business is not seen, it can not help you reach your goals. The key is to get your content in as many locations as possible. This would include off-line and online locations. When it comes to traffic generation, the typical Internet Marketer is usually not able to think outside of the box. Once they do their SEO marketing, they tend to hope for the best because that’s all they know how to do. Use these tips to help you getting stuck in those old and tired trenches.
You know how there are sites online that you can post questions on? One of those sites is Yahoo! Answers. You can also do this on LinkedIn. You should join these websites and start posting answers to the questions that people have submitted. You’ll get the chance to show off your expertise. You can show that your goal is to help, even when helping isn’t profitable for you. And because they allow you profiles, you’ll have a space with which to promote your own projects–you can funnel traffic through it and then if you’re lucky turn those people into buyers.
Forums are a great place to get to know people. You have probably already heard about how forum marketing can be a great way to bring in traffic but if you really want to be successful here, you need to do more than simply have a great signature and post replies to already started threads. Start your own threads. You need to trade private messages with people. When you actively participate on the forum, people will begin to trust you, and they will visit your site and offers, something that will not happen if you do not post. Just find a couple of boards that you are comfortable with, start new threads and post on existing ones, so that you get a continuous flow of traffic.
You have probably already been told that blog commenting can be a good way to send traffic to your blog. The best way to do this, however, is to be creative with it. Most bloggers have seen the posts – ‘thank you!’ or ‘nice job’ with a link to an obviously Internet related site. The best way to do this is talk about something that they have written about in their blog. If many people have already made several comments, you could actually interject something that relates to what they are talking about. The more that you contribute, the more traffic you will see. This will happen as long as you are actually commenting and contributing.
There are so many different ways that you can bring in more traffic for your projects. For the most part people use the methods they know have been successful in the past. It is okay if you would like to take this route but try to remember that there is lots of competition there. Not only is there less competition when you use creative methods of traffic generation, there is an increased likelihood of conversion!
